Night Walk Tour Santamarias is a small family-run business dedicated to environmental conservation since 2005. The Santamaría family has owned the property since 1948, which includes around 6 hectares (15 acres) of primary and secondary forest. It also includes small plantations of coffee, sugarcane, and bananas.
Their main goal is to offer a unique night walk experience in the forest, where visitors can witness the transition from day to night and observe the awakening of nocturnal animals. During the tour, it is possible to spot a wide variety of wildlife, including sloths, coatis, coyotes, amphibians, snakes, and insects, all while enjoying the sounds and tranquility of the cloud forest night.
With a strong commitment to conservation and environmental education, Night Walk Tour Santamarias provides visitors with an unparalleled opportunity to connect with nature and learn about Monteverde’s biodiversity, ensuring that each night walk is safe, educational, and memorable.
